Father's Day 2011

We are blessed with an amazing Daddy. He works very hard to provide for our family and then comes home with plenty of patience and energy to play. He is a Godly man who sets an example of love and faithfulness for us. He is generous with his time and affection, and so incredibly selfless in his actions. My kids worship their dad- and I kinda do too!

For Father's Day this year, we made these little handprint crafts that almost resulted in beatings strong reprimands during their creation. Lots of paint-covered hands touching EVERYTHING. We gave them to Clay on Sunday morning, along with Apple TV and breakfast in bed. Which was quickly relocated to the kitchen because hot coffee+greasy bacon+kids climbing all over you = disaster.

We missed church because I just cannot get everybody dressed and out the door by 8:15 some mornings, but we had a nice relaxing morning at home. I made a big lunch of Barbecue Chicken, Tomato Pie, Potato Salad, Broccoli Slaw and Coconut Chess Pie. After lunch, Clay even got to play a round of golf, something he loves but never has time for- because he's always doing stuff for us, taking care of his dad or working so hard.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy! We are so glad God gave you to us!
