Christmas and New Year's Eve in Hendersonville

We spent the week after Christmas in Hendersonville. We exchanged presents, ate a whole bunch more and played lots. Crazy to think that John Henry wasn't even born yet!

Opening presents

On New Year's Eve, the kids had a slumber party in the apartment with Nana and Papa, and we had a real life grown-ups dinner party with Britney, Mason, Jack and Laura. Clay dusted off his knife and made filets in balsamic shallot sauce with butternut squash and leek risotto and asparagus. It was YUMMY.

And Mama Baer made Jack his favorite red velvet cake for his birthday! We stayed up playing games and listening to the boys make less and less sense with every bourbon they poured. Good times :)
