More of Day 2: The Magic Kingdom with Sam

We probably all should've gone back and rested (you'll hear why when I blog about Saturday morning) but we decided to enjoy an afternoon with just Sam. We figured he could catch a quick stroller nap. He didn't but he hung on great, no fussing, lots of giggling and we had a GREAT time.

First stop- Lunch!
Corn dog nuggets at Casey's Corner- Sam was thrilled to find out Disney World had his favorite food.

Sam was mesmerized by the piano player

Now on to Tomorrowland

The first thing Sam wanted to do was ride the Tomorrow Land Speedway.
Those Go-Karts are slow and stinky but Sam loved them.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin was closed so next we tried Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. It was funny and air conditioned and Clay was on the big screen! They do a lot of interacting with the audience and of course they picked my easily embarrassed husband. Sam hid his face while the camera was on Clay and I thought he didn't like it, but it is ALL he has talked about it since we got home... 'my daddy was on the TV on Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and he was soooo funny'. For the record, one of the female monsters flirted with Clay, called his shirt a tablecloth and asked what country he was from. He replied Mississippi...

Next we decided to head in the direction of Frontierland to board the WDW Railroad. But as soon as we got to Cinderella's Castle, we realized that another parade was coming! This time it was the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade. We saw Mickey and Minnie, Peter Pan and Captain Hook, Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter, Cinderella's Stepmother, Drizella and Anastasia, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Woody and Jessie, Stitch, Snow White and a couple of the Dwarfs, Jiminy Cricket (who, sadly, my kids had never heard of until this trip), Pinnochio and more. Sam also enjoyed his first Mickey Ice Cream sandwich during the parade...

Then it was on to the WDW Railroad. Nice, slow, relaxing ride around the park. And some friends of ours from Tupelo were sitting right behind us! It really is a small world after all ;)

Time for Fantasy Land! The crowds were so low in Fantasy Land and we hardly had to wait in line at all. We rode Prince Charming's carousel first. I swear that is the shortest carousel ride ever. Maybe 60 seconds long.
Sam picked a horse that looked like Lillie

Then we rode Dumbo, which I am glad to say, Sam was not all that impressed with. It was a long line for a short ride so we only did it once.

The Tea Cups! We rode the Tea Cups three times in a row without any wait. Sam LOVED them. I love his giggling little face while spinning.

Sam and Clay rode the last time without me... my tummy was feeling a little shaken up.

After the Tea Cups, we did the Carousel again, It's a Small World and Peter Pan. I was so proud of Sam during Peter Pan, I know he was scared because it was dark and quick but he said he'd be brave and he was! And when he was done, he said he loved it. He also loved It's a Small World and said he couldn't wait to come back the next day and show it to Ellie.

Finally around 6:30, we decided to call it a day. Back to the resort for pizza, baths and bed.

Such a fun day with my two sweet boys.
