First Day of Four Year Preschool

This is it. Sam is in REAL pre-school. Not playschool or mother's day out or anything else. This year counts.

Not that he hasn't learned a lot the past couple of years. Actually he's learned all kinds of things- letters, numbers, shapes, colors, how to write his name and do projects and share with friends (sorta), and even a little bit of addition and subtraction. But 4 year old pre-K just seems so much more SERIOUS.

And sad also, because this is the last first day of pre-school. Next year he starts... Well I can't even say it, but it starts with a k and ends with an indergarten.

As always, he loved being at school. A lot of his old friends are still in his class, as well as some new ones. We are looking forward to a great year with his sweet teachers, Mrs. Susie and Mrs. Wendy.

We were at the beach on the day school actually started but here are some pictures of him on his first day.

Kissing baby sister goodbye

Wiping those kisses off...

"That's enough kisses!"

Mrs. Susie's room has a train table in it! Sam was SO EXCITED. That's all he talked about and asked me to please come to school and play trains with him.

Showing me the bumble bee they velcro on the board to mark 'here'.
