Edisto Beach

We spent two weeks at the beach again this year (Clay came for the second week) but at a different spot- Edisto Island in South Carolina. The oil spill in the Gulf freaked us out (although everybody says it's been perfect and beautiful down there) and so we canceled our reservations in Dune Allen and relocated. The Carolina coast is really different from the Gulf but I have to say, it really grew on us. The waves were huge and the tide was way up when we first got there but it calmed down by the second week. Edisto is such a sleepy little beach town, we didn't do anything but go for bike rides and lay on the beach. Oh yeah, and CHASE KIDS EVERYWHERE. Not exactly a relaxing vacation but still a great one.

Sam was not at all interested in going in the ocean this year. We did sort of force him into the water one day and he wasn't totally traumatized. Ellie on the other hand, LOVED the water. She kept begging to go out and float back and forth between me and Clay.

Bo is almost two and all of a sudden acting like it. He has the funniest sense of humor and he is such a stinker. There was definitely some sibling rivalry between the cousins- Sam didn't want to share anything with Bo, and Bo wanted to assault Ellie.

Bo showing me his nose. The cutest is when he shows you his 'eh-bow'.
