The Punkin Patch
For those of you reading this who aren't from Tupelo (that's all 2 of you, Nana and Papa)...we have a place here called the Buffalo Park, which is a park of several hundred acres filled with buffalo. Obviously. It also has some monkeys, zebras, a few sad looking horses and some other animals. I have driven by the Buffalo Park numerous times but have never actually been there. Every October, the BP advertises its 'Pumpkin Patch' and this weekend I thought what a great idea to take Sam, let him run around, pick out some 'punkees' as he calls them and take some fall-themed pictures. The Scruggs joined us as well. We did get some cute shots, but we also learned that the Pumpkin Patch is really not so much a patch as it is a giant field where someone has driven a bunch of pumpkins and left them. With the stickers still on. Sam had fun though, and after sweating in the oh-so autumnal heat of 85 degrees, we took home our new pumpkin. Fresh out of a patch somewhere in the midwest...

a little disappointing that it's not a real pumpkin patch...we took averi last year to find a large field filled with store bought pumpkins! at least Sam had fun!
Circle Y in Corinth has a pumkin patch where you can actually pull them right off the vine... They also have a big playground, mini golf, petting zoo area and a train for the kids. This was our third year to go with JC. I highly reccommend.
Haha!! oh my gosh...you weren't kidding about the pumkpin patch...there's one pumpkin every square mile! :) haha! Sam looked adorable however! :)
