Labor Day Weekend

We had a pretty low key Labor Day. Clay worked on Saturday, so Sam 'helped' me in the yard. Yes, he's still in his pajamas. Thats just how we roll at the Crabb household.

September 1st, 2008

I had a real labor day exactly two years ago- September 1st was the day Sam was born (it was a Friday then). I cannot believe my baby boo is two years old! We are having his birthday party on the 6th but we still did a couple little things to celebrate his day...

Daddy bought him a Thomas the Train birthday balloon- since he is obsessed with Thomas and balloons, this might be the best present possible for a 2-year-old boy. However, he woke up supergrump from his nap- he loved the balloon but did NOT love the photo session I forced on him.

We went to the Prestages house for a cookout on Monday afternoon. Danny needs one of those 'Master of the Grill' aprons; I stuffed myself on his yummy barbecue, chicken wings and bacon-wrapped-cream-cheese-stuffed-grilled-jalapenos. Soooo good! Bryce and Sam played while Maggie snoozed and the adults did what adults do- drink, eat, rinse, repeat. Of course a great cookout is not complete without a game of cornhole...

When we got home from the Prestages, we were all tired and stuffed but we had to sing Happy Birthday! Sam loves when people sing Happy Birthday, he dances to it at every party we attend. So we topped a leftover slice of red velvet cake with 2 candles and sang Happy Birthday a few times.

Mmmm
