Fun Week in North Carolina

We spent an impromptu week in Hendersonville last week while our upstairs floors were being refinished. We had just gotten back from the beach and I was not looking forward to another long week away from home. But it ended up being a GREAT week. We went hiking, saw waterfalls, played at Hands On and the Train Depot, celebrated my 35th (ick) birthday and spent lots of time playing with cousins. And we came home to beautiful new floors and a spotless house courtesy of Clay.

Aunt Meredith came hiking with us :)

Papa took the kids to Hands On to paint pictures for me for my birthday

Ice cream sandwiches! (Bo's first ever... he kept giving us a 'thumbs-up'.)

And then on our drive home on Saturday, we got stuck in this for 3 hours:

So the three of us ended up spending the night in a hotel. Which the kids thought was awesome. Ellie practiced flying from bed to bed in her new Tinkerbell costume.

And woke up on Sunday morning another year older.
